PHECC First Aid Response (FAR) Recertification Course – Roscommon, Athlone, Longford & Midlands
SkillWise delivers PHECC-certified First Aid Response (FAR) Recertification training in Roscommon, Athlone, Longford and across the Midlands and Ireland. This practical refresher course is designed for learners who already hold a valid or recently expired PHECC FAR certification and wish to renew their qualification.
Training takes place at our lakeside training venue near Roscommon Town and can also be delivered onsite for workplaces and organisations nationwide.
About the Course
The aim of this PHECC FAR Recertification course is to refresh and update learners’ First Aid knowledge, CPR skills and practical emergency response abilities in line with current PHECC standards.
The course focuses on practical hands-on training, CPR, AED use and emergency response scenarios to ensure learners remain confident and competent when responding to emergencies in workplace and community settings.
Course Objectives
On completion of this FAR Recertification course, learners will be able to:

Assess emergency situations safely and effectively

Respond to life-threatening and non-life-threatening emergencies

Perform Adult and Child CPR
-
Use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

Respond appropriately to choking, heart attack, stroke and cardiac arrest

Demonstrate updated First Aid skills in line with current PHECC guidelines

Provide safe and effective patient care until emergency medical services arrive

Act confidently and within the scope of a First Aid Responder

Course Duration

On successful completion, learners will receive a renewed PHECC First Aid Response (FAR) Certificate.
Certification is valid for 2 years.
Entry Requirements
Learners attending this course must hold a current or recently expired PHECC FAR certificate.
Participants should also have a good command of spoken and written English and be physically capable of carrying out practical skills such as CPR.
