Course Description
This Patient Moving & Handling course delivers high-quality, compliant training for healthcare, care, and support environments, with a strong emphasis on practical application and safety. This Patient Moving & Handling course provides essential training for anyone involved in assisting people with mobility needs in healthcare, care, or community settings. The course focuses on safe techniques, risk awareness, and practical skills to reduce the risk of injury to both the handler and the person being assisted. Training covers correct movement principles, the safe use of aids and equipment, and real-life workplace scenarios. This is a half-day (4-hour) course, delivered in small groups to ensure hands-on practice and individual guidance. ✔ HSA compliant ✔ Certified on the day of completion ✔ Suitable for audits and workplace requirements ✔ Delivered by a QQI Level 6 qualified instructor with years of training experience This course is ideal for healthcare assistants, nurses, carers, support workers, residential care staff, and family carers. Prerequisite – Manual Handling: A valid Manual Handling Certificate is required to attend this course. If you do not currently hold a valid certificate, please book the Patient Handling & Manual Handling option. The Manual Handling module is an online format and must be completed before attending the Patient Handling session. If you already hold a valid, in-date Manual Handling Certificate, please book the "Patient Handling" only option. If you want to add the online module, please also book the " Manual Handling" online course as well as the Patient Handling in person course.

General Booking Policy
Booking Confirmation: All bookings must be made in advance through our official booking channels. A place is secured only once full payment has been received. A confirmation email with full course details will be sent after booking. This is a half-day (4-hour) Patient Moving & Handling course. Cancellations & Transfers: Once confirmed, bookings cannot be cancelled or refunded. Transfers to another course date may be possible with at least 48 hours’ notice, subject to availability. Receipts & Certification: Receipts are available upon request. Participants will receive a Patient Moving & Handling Certificate of Completion on the day, subject to full attendance and participation. The training is HSA compliant and suitable for workplace use. Course Locations: Training is delivered at selected venues across the Midlands.
