Course Description
This session offers a supportive introduction to essential first aid skills for parents, carers, childminders and anyone who would like to grow confidence and feel more prepared when caring for infants and children. We create a relaxed space where knowledge and real-life experiences can be shared, questions are welcome, and confidence is gently built — so you feel more prepared and less overwhelmed in emergency situations. This is a hands-on, practical session, focusing on real skills you can use at home, including: - When to call 112 or 999 - Infant and child CPR - Infant and child AED - Common injuries: bleeding, fractures, breaks, burns and scalds - Allergies, seizures and meningitis - Gently introducing children to calling for help and everyday safety advice for the home! At SkillWise we offer training at our training premises, at your business location and even at your home for Family First aid.

Paediatric First Aid Class – Course Policy Thank you for choosing to take part in our Paediatric First Aid Class. Please read the following policy to ensure a smooth and enjoyable learning experience. 📅 Booking & Payment The full course fee is payable at the time of booking to secure your place. Bookings are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis due to limited group sizes (max. 12 participants per session). 🔁 Rescheduling If you need to reschedule due to illness or an emergency, please contact us as soon as possible. We will do our best to offer an alternative date. In the event that the course is cancelled by us (e.g. due to low numbers or instructor illness), participants will receive a full refund or may rebook at no extra cost. 👶 Babies & Children This course is for adults only. To ensure a focused learning environment, we kindly ask that children do not attend the session. For Zoom sessions, we understand parenting can be unpredictable — short interruptions are okay. Please let us know in advance if you need flexibility. 📄 Certificates All participants will receive a digital Certificate of Completion after attending the full course. This is a non-certified awareness course and is not accredited by PHECC. If you are looking for PHECC certified training please visit our website or get in touch. 📍 Group & Private Sessions Group sessions take place at selected venues. Private 1-to-1 Zoom classes can be arranged on request. 📸 Photos & Media (Optional) We occasionally take photos for promotional purposes during group classes.
